中华人民共和国政府和特立尼达和多巴哥共和国政府（以下简称“缔约双方”），为了加强两国间业已存在的友好关系，促进中华人民共和国香港特别行政区和特立尼达和多巴哥共和国之间的经济、贸易的发展和便利旅行，通过友好协商，就中华人民共和国香港特别行政区和特立尼达和多巴哥共和国之间的互免签证问题议定如下：第一条中华人民共和国公民持有效的中华人民共和国香港特别行政区护照、入、出或途经特立尼达和多巴哥，免办签证，停留期限由对方主管部门决定；特立尼达和多巴哥公民持有效的特立尼达和多巴哥护照，入、出或途经中华人民共和国香港特别行政区，免办签证，停留期限由对方主管部门决定。第二条一、本协定第一条所述护照持有人，在对方境内逗留期间，应遵守其有关法律和规定。二、本协定第一条所述护照持有人，如在对方境内停留欲逾免签期限，应根据规定向对方主管部门申请，并获同意。第三条本协定不限制中华人民共和国香港特别行政区政府和特立尼达和多巴哥政府的如下权力：拒绝不受欢迎或不可接受的对方人员进入自己管辖区内或者终止其在该管辖区内的逗留，并无须说明理由。第四条由于国家安全、公共秩序、公共卫生等原因，缔约一方可临时中止实施本协定的全部或者部分条款。但缔约一方应通过外交途径将此提前通知另一方，并自通知之日起生效。第五条一、缔约双方应当自本协定签字之日起三十日内，通过外交途径交换本协定第一条所述护照样本。二、缔约一方如更新上述护照式样，应当提前三十日通过外交途径通知缔约另一方，并提供新护照样本。第六条一、本协定自一九九七年七月一日起生效。二、本协定无限期有效。缔约一方可在任何时候通过外交途径书面通知另一方终止本协定，并自通知之日起第九十日生效。三、缔约双方经协商，可通过适当方式补充或修改本协定。第七条自一九九七年七月一日起，中华人民共和国中央人民政府授权香港特别行政区政府执行本协定。本协定于一九九七年三月二十四日在西班牙港签订，一式两份，每份分别用中文和英文写成，两种文本同等作准。中华人民共和国特立尼达和多巴哥共和国

中国驻特多大使特多外交部长agreementbetweenthegovernmentoftherepublicoftrinidadandtobagoandthegovernmentofthepeople'srepublicofchinaonmutualexemptionofvisarequirementsbetweenthehongkongspecialadministra-tiveregionofthepeople'srepublicofchinaandtherepublicoftrinidadandtobagowholedocumentthegovernmentoftherepublicoftrinidadandtobagoandthegovernmentofthepeople'srepublicofchina(hereinafterreferredtoasthecontractingparties),withaviewtostrengtheningtheexistingfriendlyrelationsbetweenthetwocountries,promotingtradeandeconomicdevelopmentandfacilitatingtravelbetweenthehongkongspecialadministrativeregionofthepeople'srepublicofchinaandtherepublicoftrinidadandtobago,have,throughfriendlyconsultations,reachedagreementonthemutualexemptionofvisarequirementsbetweenthehongkongspecialadministrativeregionofthepeople'srepublicofchinaandtherepublicoftrinidadandtobagoasfollows:articleicitizensofthepeople'srepublicofchina,holdingvalidpassportsofthehongkongspecialadministrativeregionofthepeople'srepublicofchina,shallbeexemptedfromvisarequirementsforentryinto,exitfromortransitthroughtheterritoryoftrinidadandtobago,thedurationofstaytobedeterminedbythecompetentauthorities;citizensoftrinidadandtobago,holdingvalidpassportsoftrinidadandtobagoshallbeexemptedfromvisarequirementsforentryinto,exitfromortransitthroughtheterritoryofthehongkongspecialadministrativeregionofthepeople'srepublicofchina,thedurationofstaytobedeterminedbythecompetentauthorities.articleii1.thepassportholdersreferredtoinarticleishallabidebytherelevantlawsandregulationsoftheothercontractingpartyduringtheirstayinitsterritory.2.thepassportholdersreferredtoinarticleishallsubmitapplications,inaccordancewiththeregulations,tothecompetentauthoritiesforpermissiontostayintheterritoryoftheothercontractingpartyifsuchastaywouldexceedthevalidperiodofvisaexemption.articleiiithisagreementdoesnotrestricttherightofthehongkongspecialadministrativeregionofthepeople'srepublicofchinaandtherepublicoftrinidadandtobagotoprohibitpersonaenongrataorunacceptablepersonsoftheothercontractingpartyfromenteringitsterritoryortoterminatetheirstayinitsterritorywithoutcitingreasonstherefor.articleiveithercontractingpartymaytemporarilysuspendtheimplementationofthisagreementpartlyorwhollyongroundsofnationalsecurity,publicorderandpublichealth.however,theothercontractingpartythroughdiplomaticchannels,shallbenotifiedinadvanceofsuchsuspensionoftheagreementandthesuspensionshallenterintoforceuponthedayofthatnotice.articlev1.thecontractingpartiesshall,throughdiplomaticchannels,completetheexchangeofsamplesofthepassportsreferredtoinarticleiwithin30daysofthesigningofthisagreement.2.eithercontractingparty,incaseofanychangeintheformatofitspassports,shallinformtheothercontractingparty,throughdiplomaticchannels,30daysinadvanceandshallfurnishitwithsamplesofthenewpassports.articlevi1.thisagreementshallenterintoforceon1july1997.2.thisagreementshallremainvalidforanindefiniteperiodoftime.eithercontractingpartymayterminatethisagreementatanytimebywrittennotificationthroughdiplomaticchannels,andthisnotificationshallbeeffectiveontheninetiethdayafterthedateofthatnotice.3.additionalclausesoramendmentstothisagreementmaybemade,asappropriate,bythecontractingpartiesafterconsultations.articleviithecentralpeople'sgovernmentofthepeople'srepublicofchinashall,witheffectfrom1july1997,authorizethegovernmentofthehongkongspecialadministrativeregiontoimplementthisagreement.doneatononethousandninehundredand,induplicateintheenglishandchineselanguages,bothtextsbeingequallyauthentic.forthegovernmentofforthegovernmentof
